2009 Equinox SantAR Event – Saturday December 12

For a simple race the scoring has proven a little more difficult. We ranked teams first by the number of mandatory checkpoints they visited, then by the optional points they correctly located in the alotted 6 hours, minus the penalty of 1 point for every minute after the 6 hour cutoff.

8th Day Adventures wrote the checkpoint answers on the sleeve of their rain jacket, but some answers were lost during an unplanned dip in the creek.

Thanks to everyone (including the workers) who braved the rain and inclement conditions. What a great way to finish the year with enough mud to make it a tough slog.
